Project Manager

As a Project Manager you will be dealing with larger, more complex contracts which require the experience and capabilities only gained from years of project implementation. The person may manage several projects simultaneously. Direct the functions related to design, engineering, installation and satisfactory implementation of material handling systems and equipment. Responsible for ensuring fulfillment of our company’s obligations to our customers as defined by project contract and schedule requirements. Must also strive to maintain or improve upon the allotted project budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish project implementation schedules and coordinate the related activities
  • Directs the activities of employees, vendors and subcontractors working on their assigned projects with special emphasis on conformance to applicable safety rules and regulations
  • Work closely with Controls Engineering to ensure correct design of system controls equipment, control logic and software implementation
  • Evaluate project issues that may arise and determine the corrective action to be taken
  • Keep accurate records of project progress, the project budget and open issues and publish this information to the appropriate individuals on a timely basis
  • Estimate / obtain the cost and schedule for contract changes including materials, engineering and installation
  • Prepare accurate project Change Orders and present them to the customer for approval
  • Develop and execute commissioning and acceptance test plans to secure final project acceptance from the customer
  • Aid in the development of less experienced personnel, assigned to their projects, by guiding and training them on company procedures and equipment applications
  • Perform the duties of a Project Engineer and/or Design Engineer as necessary

Requirements
  • Mechanical knowledge of Electrical Engineering a must
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and PC based programs
  • Bachelor degree in related field with a 5 years min. as a Project Manager in the Material Handling industry and/or automotive industry
  • Travel as necessary for the purpose of project: meetings; implementation; coordination; and commissioning
  • Strong time management Skills
  • Strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Group motivation and discipline, conflict mediation and diplomacy. Ability to influence without having direct authority

Junior Project Manager

As a Junior Project Manager, the primary responsibilities are to plan, coordinate, and oversee operations on company projects. Coordinates the functions related to design, engineering, installation and satisfactory implementation of material handling systems and equipment. Responsible for ensuring fulfillment of our company’s obligations to our customers as defined by project contract and schedule requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in identifying and providing methods for mitigating risks, completing tasks, and resolving issues.
  • Coordinates the activities of employees, vendors and subcontractors working on their assigned projects.
  • Review purchase orders before release.
  • Issue contracts to vendors / subcontractors as required.
  • Communicate current project status to customers and internal management including constraints or assumptions impacting future progress of the project.
  • Implement best practices to improve project efficiency and revenue.
  • Review project documents and ensured they are following quality standards.

Requirements
  • Mechanical knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum 2 years of experience as a Junior Project Manager in the Material Handling industry and/or automotive industry.
  • Travel as necessary for the purpose of project: meetings; implementation; coordination; and commissioning.

Controls Engineering Estimator

As a Controls Engineering Estimator, the primary responsibilities will be to compile engineering, equipment, controls and installation costs for project quotations. This person will often work on several concurrent quotes. May occasionally act as a Project Leader for very small, simple orders by ordering project related materials and/or services. Strives to constantly update the basis used to develop quote costs and improve the accuracy of estimates via vendor research as well as historical project results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate potential concepts and work with the appropriate sales personnel to ensure that we pursue and produce viable material handling quotes
  • Develop conceptual mechanical / electrical equipment layouts for system quotes
  • When practical, solicit firm cost estimates from other employees, vendors and subcontractors
  • When necessary, estimate the cost of materials, equipment and services required to realize the system concept based on previous experience and / or previous quotations/projects
  • Create a summary of quoted system costs including estimates for base concepts, alternate concepts, options and various combinations of those prices
  • Develop the proposed implementation schedules for quotations
  • Create a list of proposed equipment
  • Develop a list of clarifications / exceptions necessary to present an accurate description of each proposed system in written quotations
  • Estimate / obtain the cost and schedule for contract changes including materials, engineering and installation costs for active projects
  • Travel as necessary for the purpose of quote line up meetings and proposal presentations
  • Meet with team members at project turnover meetings to explain the as-sold system concept, the basis for the estimated system budget and material costs and to elaborate on any special project requirements
  • Attend project post-mortem meetings in order to gauge accuracy of project quotes and apply appropriate alterations to future quotations

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline with 5 years of experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate cost effective on time quotes.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD , Excel and other Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience within material handling with specialization in conveyor systems is ideal.
  • Multi-tasking and ability to prioritize is essential.

Programmer Analyst

Authors and reviews operational specifications, formulates, and analyzes software requirements. The Software Developer applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to software development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identifies requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients and with other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work-flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language and logic.
  • Programs the computer by encoding project requirements in computer language; entering coded information into the computer.
  • Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
  • Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements, developing software systems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with minimum 2 years’ experience in a material handling programming role is desired.
  • Formal training OR demonstrated skill and experience in the software applications required to successfully execute the responsibilities of this position.
  • Thorough knowledge of Application development, including C++, C#, Java, Python
  • Back-end web development, including ASP.NET, MVC, JSON, PHP
  • Database development, including SQLServer, SQLite, Oracle, and/or MySQL
  • Front-end web development, including Bootstrap, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery, JavaScript.
