New UltraSert Printer and Inserter Provides a Cost Effective, Labor Saving Packaging and Shipping System
The new patented UltraSert™ document printer and inserter from Integrated Systems Design (ISD) can automatically print and insert documents into mixed carton sizes at up to 25 pages per minute for picking, packing and shipping operations.
The UltraSert units are integrated with conveyor equipment. As a box, tote or other container moves along the conveyor, it's momentarily buffered in front of the UltraSert unit. The specific documentation for the container, ranging from one to multiple pages, is automatically printed and inserted into the container which can then be routed to the next location. An UltraSert system of one or more units can be used to print pick lists, manifests, invoices, statements, instructions, labels, or specialty documents depending on throughput requirements.
This patented system is cost-effective and competitively priced to provide organizations a fast Return on Investment (ROI) as a result of its accuracy, reliability and labor saving features. Its very high accuracy helps assure customer satisfaction without the need for additional checking labor. The UltraSert system is designed for a simplistic implementation into new or existing operations looking to improve efficiencies.
The UltraSert printer and inserter integrates a heavy-duty laser printer with a custom inserter mechanism. The inserter mechanism is designed with only a few moving parts for virtually maintenance free operation. The inserter counts the correct number of pages in the document group and inserts the pages into the waiting container.
A simple communications scheme to the host software system uses standard Ethernet connections. Most modern software systems capable of sending a text and bar code output can be interfaced with the UltraSert unit.
